Compact rhizomatous begonia with bristly eyelash leaf margins and bold patterning.
A Mexican rhizomatous begonia forming a low mound of small patterned leaves edged with fine hairs. Often stays under ~25 cm. Prefers bright filtered light, moderate–high humidity, and a light moist mix that dries slightly at the surface. Avoid misting fuzzy leaves heavily. Semi-closed cases often outperform bone-dry rooms and fully stagnant wet jars. Humidity targets in sources range ~50–90%; treat as above-average humidity plus airflow. Distinct from seeded Begonia rex-cultorum.
